Hey,
MONICA
MIKLAS,
what's your story?

SO GLAD YOU ASKED!
I am an artist and creative producer in the world of immersive and interactive performance.
I write, perform, and develop stories.
As the co-founder of Capital W, a nationally-recognized radical theatre collaboration based in Los Angeles, my work connects audiences to stories, causes, and each other.
I’m an expert at designing audience engagement and integrating business and creative processes.

Some recent highlights of my work include:
Brassroots District
(director + producer)
An immersive funk concert that transported audiences to 1973 for a joyful night of dancing and connection.
Fire Season
(writer + performer)
A site-specific meditation on what it means to live through climate change—that leaves audiences with action items for joining the fight against climate change on their own.
More on Capital W.
I’m all about sharing resources and knowledge. I co-founded the League of Experiential and Immersive Artists and the Hollywood Fringe Festival’s Creative Workshop Series.
I regularly speak about immersive performance; I've been featured at IndieCade, IAAPA Expo, the No Proscenium podcast, and the University of Illinois' Unit One program.
